We're from Alabama, so this whole "snow in the winter" thing is new for us. In AL, they cancel school if there are even a few flakes on the ground - whether or not they melt within an hour is of no concern. Snow? NO SCHOOL!
We knew there was a snowstorm headed our way, but we weren't sure how much we could count on that forecast, given that "snow" to us means "1/2'' of slush for an hour and then just plain water."
Yeah...so, we were EXTREMELY EXCITED about the 8 inches of snow we woke up to this morning. Like, jump-out-of-bed-and-made-a-sled-out-of-a-cardboard-box excited. Like I got no kiss good morning. Just, "OH MY GOSH. Where is my Exacto knife??" excited.
There have been moments when we look out the windows and can't see anything because the snow is so CRAZY and it's EVERYWHERE. Oh my gosh, y'all, this is wild. I don't feel like I'm on Earth. I'm on Snow Planet.

2. The sheer VOLUME holy cow, holy C O W.
3. Snow friends.
4. Angels.
5. Coming back to a piping hot cup of my mother in law's homemade French vanilla hot chocolate mix by the fire.
Happy snow day, people!
